Digital Performance

Cyrus's approach to digital music is rooted in total control of signal integrity. Inside the 40 ST, a customized implementation of the ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M DAC ensures precise conversion of your digital files up to 24-bit/192kHz. The PCB layout and analog output stage are optimized for ultra-low noise and exceptional musical transparency. This isn't just spec-chasing — it's a finely tuned system engineered to extract emotional nuance and depth from every stream.

BluOS Streaming

With native support for services like Qobuz, TIDAL, Spotify, and Deezer, BluOS provides a responsive, elegant platform to manage your entire digital library. Whether streaming from the cloud, your network drive, or a local USB device, the 40 ST handles playback effortlessly. The BluOS Controller app makes setup and playback intuitive, while multi-room playback is just a tap away.

Roon Ready

The 40 ST is fully Roon Ready out of the box. That means plug-and-play access to bit-perfect streaming, multi-room synchronization, and rich metadata without any configuration. If you're serious about cataloging and curating your music library, Roon plus the 40 ST is a dream team.

AirPlay 2

Apple users benefit from full AirPlay 2 support. Send audio from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to the 40 ST instantly. Link rooms together, assign zones, and even control playback with Siri. The integration is smooth and reliable — just like it should be.

40 PSU Upgrade

Like its siblings in the 40 Series, the 40 ST is upgradeable via the external 40 PSU. With its precision-regulated, digitally controlled power rails, the 40 PSU provides ultra-low noise and greater dynamic stability. A single connection cable brings meaningful improvements to resolution, transient speed, and low-level detail retrieval.

Build Your Cyrus 40 Series System

The 40 ST pairs seamlessly with the Cyrus 40 Amp integrated amplifier for a complete streaming system. Add the Cyrus 40 CD for disc playback, or the Cyrus 40 PPA phono preamplifier for dedicated vinyl with four independent turntable inputs. The 40 PSU external power supply upgrades any component in the range. Every 40 Series product shares the same chassis dimensions, display style, and upgrade path. The 40 Series also integrates with the new full-width Cyrus 80 Series, letting you mix compact specialists with full-width power.
