Perlisten R2ic In-Ceiling Speaker

The Perlisten R2ic is the versatile, high-performance solution for bringing immersive audio into any room, without compromising on clarity or aesthetics. This is not just an ordinary in-ceiling speaker; it is a precision instrument, designed to deliver the acclaimed sonic signature of the R-Series from a source that is heard but not seen. Tuned for a flat response across a 30-degree main listening window, the R2ic is THX Ultra certified, making it a perfect choice for height channels in a Dolby Atmos or DTS:X system, or as a discreet LCR and surround speaker in a multi-purpose media room.

Key Features

• THX Certified Ultra: The R2ic carries THX Ultra certification.
• Intelligent Coverage Angle: Perlisten tunes a flat frequency response for a 30-degree main listening window, so the speaker serves the seats rather than the floor below it.
• Timbre-Matched Drivers: Features a 28mm silk dome tweeter and a 165mm (6.5") HPF woofer, sharing the same technology as the R-Series to guarantee a seamless sonic match.
• HPF Woofer: A 165mm HPF paper pulp woofer on an aluminum frame, the same custom pulp woofer design as Perlisten's R-Series in-walls.
• Ultimate Versatility: Engineered to be used as a Left, Center, Right, surround, or height channel speaker, providing maximum flexibility for system design.
• Open-Back Design: A 2-way infinite baffle speaker built for shallow-depth installations where sound isolation is not a priority. An optional rear enclosure is available.
• Paintable Grille: A grille is included.

Sound That's Perfectly Aimed

The key to the R2ic's exceptional performance is its intelligent design. Perlisten tunes its response for a 30-degree main listening window. This clever engineering ensures that even when mounted directly overhead, the sound is aimed precisely at the listening position, not fired straight down at the floor. This angled dispersion dramatically improves clarity and focus, creating a much more direct and engaging soundfield. It's the perfect solution for creating convincing overhead effects for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X that truly feel like they are in the room with you.

The R-Series Signature

The R2ic is a true member of the Perlisten R-Series family. It uses the same advanced driver materials, including a fluid, detailed 28mm silk dome tweeter and a powerful, articulate 6.5-inch HPF woofer. This shared DNA is crucial for creating a truly cohesive and immersive sound system. As audio pans from your main speakers to the height channels, the character and tone of the sound remain perfectly consistent. This seamless integration allows the speakers to disappear, leaving you with a single, enveloping bubble of sound that is utterly convincing.

The Ultra Advantage, Overhead

The R2ic is THX Ultra certified, with 109.5dB peak output. It can effortlessly reproduce the dynamic range of modern movie soundtracks, whether it's providing subtle atmospheric effects or the impactful roar of an overhead jet.
