This is not a typical in-wall speaker; it is a reference-level loudspeaker, meticulously designed to bring the precision, clarity, and dynamic power of Perlisten's freestanding speakers to a custom-installed format. It peaks at 115.9dB with second and third harmonic distortion held under 3%, which is freestanding-speaker output from a cabinet buried in the wall.

Key Features

115.9dB Peak Output: Holds 115.9dB peaks with second and third harmonic distortion under 3%, measured across 100Hz to 20kHz, so reference-level scenes stay clean.

Proprietary DPC-Array: The heart of the R7i-LR is a patent-pending DPC-Array with three 26mm silk domes, meticulously engineered for exceptional accuracy, smooth response, and controlled dispersion.

HPF Woofers: Four 165mm (6.5") HPF (Hybrid Pulp Formulation) cone woofers deliver bass that is incredibly stiff, lightweight, and powerful, revealing stunning texture and nuance.

Perfect Timbre Matching: Shares the same DPC-Array and driver technology as the entire R-Series, ensuring a seamless and tonally cohesive soundfield for a truly immersive experience.

Architectural Integration: Requires a 4.0 inch (101.7mm) mounting depth, making it ideal for installation in standard 2x6 walls or other deep-cavity constructions.

All-Aluminum Cabinet: Built into an all-aluminum cabinet just 111mm (4.4 inches) deep behind the grille, with an integral aluminum extrusion rear enclosure.

Paintable Grille: Includes a low-profile, perforated grille that can be painted to perfectly match your wall color, allowing the speaker to become truly invisible.

Heard but Not Seen

The R7i-LR is the ultimate solution for the enthusiast who craves world-class sound without the visual presence of traditional speakers. Its design allows it to be installed flush within a wall, completely hidden behind a paintable grille, preserving the clean aesthetic of your living space. But make no mistake, this is a serious loudspeaker. Perlisten has poured all of its acoustic expertise into the R7i-LR, creating an in-wall speaker that delivers the same dynamic, detailed, and immersive performance that has made the R-Series a global sensation. It’s the best of both worlds: sonic immersion and visual purity.

Controlled, Cohesive Sound

At the core of the R7i-LR's exceptional performance is Perlisten’s unique DPC-Array. This advanced tweeter and midrange configuration masterfully controls the speaker's dispersion, directing more of the sound towards you and less towards reflective surfaces. For an in-wall speaker, this is a game-changer. It ensures a crystal-clear, stable, and focused image, free from the sonic smear that can plague lesser designs. Dialogue is rendered with pristine clarity, and the soundstage is wide and incredibly well-defined, making the walls themselves seem to disappear.

Output Without Compression

The R7i-LR measures 115.9dB peak at one meter, and 115.9dB with second and third harmonic distortion under 3%, across 100Hz to 20kHz. Those two figures being identical is the useful part: it does not have a loud-but-strained region, because distortion has not climbed by the time it runs out of headroom. Paired with the R7i-C center, it builds a front stage where every channel behaves the same way under load.

On-Wall Mounting

Planning an on-wall installation?
