rel-t7x-subwoofer
REL T/7x Subwoofer

The REL T/7x Subwoofer delivers serious low-end performance in a deceptively compact chassis. Designed to work in perfect harmony with a wide variety of loudspeakers, the T/7x combines REL’s proprietary high-level input, an ultra-fast 8-inch active driver, and a 10-inch passive radiator to create bass that’s agile, deep, and seamlessly integrated. Whether you're pairing it with a two-channel rig or anchoring a high-performance home theater, the T/7x is built to elevate the musicality and impact of your system without overpowering your space.

Filtered for Purity

One of REL’s most respected design choices is the use of High-Level Input from your amplifier’s speaker terminals. This method allows the T/7x to receive the same signal your speakers do, preserving timing, character, and dynamics across the board. That’s part of what makes this subwoofer so musical. Combined with REL’s advanced filters and custom tuning, the T/7x disappears into your soundstage while revealing greater depth and foundation.

Refined Cabinet, Engineered Performance

REL takes enclosure design seriously because the cabinet affects more than aesthetics. The T/7x uses rounded corners and carefully sculpted dimensions to reduce visual bulk while increasing internal volume for improved bass extension. The result is a subwoofer that feels light on its feet while still offering tremendous scale and authority.

Drive On: Custom Drivers Front and Down

The front-firing 8-inch long-throw active driver delivers speed and definition. Meanwhile, the downward-firing 10-inch passive radiator expands low-frequency reach without the turbulence or port noise you get from vented designs. The combined system is capable of deep, tuneful bass that responds instantly to musical changes and dynamic shifts.

Trusted REL Power, Generation After Generation

Inside, a robust 200-watt Class A/B amplifier provides clean, stable power with generous current reserves. REL’s use of linear amplifiers in this range reflects their commitment to musicality over specs alone. Owners of previous REL T-series subs will appreciate the continued evolution, while new listeners will be surprised at just how much this small sub can do. Massive toroidal power supplies and upgraded MOSFETs give the T/7x its remarkable control and reliability.

Wireless Ready, No Compromises

The T/7x is compatible with REL’s Arrow Wireless system (sold separately), letting you enjoy all the benefits of high-level input and full performance without a visible cable run. Wireless never sounded so tight, fast, or integrated.

The Listening Room Difference

The Listening Room is a third-generation, family-owned business built on relationships, not transactions. When you call or email, chances are you’ll hear directly from Mike Hoatson, the owner himself. Mike personally tests the gear we carry, works directly with customers to design systems that fit their needs, and ensures every order is handled with care. This is not a faceless eCommerce site—it’s a shop run by someone who lives and breathes high-fidelity audio and takes pride in doing things the right way.

Specifications

Specification

Detail

Type

Active front-firing, passive downward-firing

Active Driver

8 in.
