The Art of Capturing the Past

Listening to 78 rpm records requires a dedicated approach, and the RB78 cartridge is the perfect solution. Unlike a modern stereo cartridge that is designed for smaller grooves, the RB78's specialized stylus is shaped to perfectly fit the wide, mono grooves of shellac records. This precise fit ensures accurate tracking, which is essential for minimizing surface noise and extracting the full dynamic range of the recording. The result is an authentic and engaging listening experience that faithfully reproduces the sound of a bygone era.

Engineered for Longevity

As with all Rega products, the RB78 cartridge is designed for both exceptional performance and enduring reliability. The use of high-quality materials and a robust, custom-molded body ensures that the cartridge can withstand the rigors of frequent use. The simple, solid design contains no superfluous parts, allowing the engineering to speak for itself. This commitment to durability means you can confidently play your most treasured records for years to come, knowing the RB78 is built to last.
