The Simply Italy Black Edition delivers pure Class A tube amplification in a refined piano black package. With 10 watts from KT77 Gold Lion power tubes, this single-ended design pairs perfectly with high-sensitivity speakers like the Unison Research MAX series. The Black Edition adds a redesigned output transformer, integrated DAC3 with hi-res digital inputs, and the sophisticated input selection technology from Unison Research's reference components.
KEY FEATURES
- Pure Class A Operation: 10W single-ended design with ultralinear output transformer (43% tap)
- Gold Lion Valves: 2x ECC82 signal tubes and 2x KT77 power tubes
- Redesigned Output Transformer: 5-section design optimized for KT77 tubes
- Electronic Bias Adjustment: Precise control without auto-bias compromises
- Integrated DAC3: USB (PCM to 384kHz, DSD native to 256x, DoP to 128x), Toslink, and SPDIF
- Subwoofer Output: Unfiltered RCA maintains tube character
BLACK EDITION REFINEMENTS
The Black Edition features a piano black wood front panel, gun metal finish, and updated graphics. Beyond aesthetics, the input selection circuit uses micro relays with Return GND technology for lower noise and better channel separation. The redesigned output transformer extracts maximum performance from the KT77 power tubes.
IDEAL PAIRINGS
At 10 watts, the Simply Italy Black Edition excels with high-sensitivity speakers. Horn-loaded designs and other efficient speakers (93dB and above) make ideal partners. The selectable feedback (4dB/3dB) lets you tune response for your specific speakers.
